Amanda is a certified yoga instructor with four years of teaching experience and eight years of practice.
While her practice began with a focus on the physical body, her intention soon shifted after experiencing deep transformation through facing and moving through discomfort in the body and the mind.
Yoga has taught (and continues to teach) Amanda how to approach difficult things: both within herself and in the outside world.
Amanda adores nature and connection with all creatures. Most of all, she loves spending time with her husband, nephew, and dog (Topanga).
Kasia took her first yoga class as part of a five month Hatha Yoga course in 2003. At the end of class, as she rested in silence on the mat, it felt like a veil lifted and she was connected to everything. She was
motivated to recreate that experience not just on the yoga mat, but in daily life.
She is fascinated with the body’s resiliency and capacity to adapt and the way yoga offers a space to explore this; not just through the physical body, but all those layers that make us who we are.
She loves teaching movement awareness in all her classes and offering time for stillness to let the movement soak in.
She encourages curiosity on the part of the student to explore movement, breath, and the patterns that show up on the mat and in life.
